Why Choose SIG

Learning Beyond the Classroom

At SIG, we believe gifted elementary, middle and high school students thrive in an environment that combines the right balance of academic enrichment with engaging social, cultural, and recreational opportunities. One moment you'll be diving into astrophysics with your peers, and the next moment you'll be plunging into the water at an epic pool party.

Learning Beyond the Classroom

Problem-Based Learning, Multi-Disciplinary Approach

The exclusive SIG STEAM+ curriculum (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) focuses on applying creative thinking across multiple disciplines. Through an innovative curriculum that spans all facets of STEAM, plus humanities and fitness, SIG challenges students to utilize knowledge of different disciplines to propose creative solutions to real-world problems. At SIG, we encourage students to explore their interests and draw upon their existing knowledge while introducing them to new and intriguing topics. Students gain strong research and creative problem-solving skills vital to college and professional careers. Interested in artificial intelligence? And best of all, you’ll be collaborating with peers that are as driven by an unrelenting curiosity as you are.

Problem-Based Learning, Multi-Disciplinary Approach

Two Courses, Twice the Enrichment

While many summer programs offer academically advanced young people one course of study, SIG students explore two. That means your child can combine their passion for bringing a robot to life with their fascination with coding a video game. Or couple it with their interest in Regenerative Medicine.

Through SIG, gifted students can explore more. Stretch their creativity. And fuel their lifelong passions – all in one summer!

Two Courses, Twice the Enrichment

Small classes. Big possibilities.

At SIG we believe in programming for the whole person. When it comes to students connecting with like-minded peers and feeling more confident when sharing ideas, class size matters. With small class sizes and a low 10:1 teacher-to-student ratio, Summer Institute for the Gifted:

  • Fosters long-lasting and meaningful relationships with peers from around the world
  • Boosts student self-confidence within a safe and secure environment on
    • A prestigious campus that individualizes programs to each student's unique needs
  • Combines challenging academics with social, cultural, and recreational opportunities to nurture students' social skills as well as their natural talents
  • Celebrates the enrichment provided by diversity of thought and culture

The Importance of Gifted Education

As many school districts across the country face tight budgets and funding cuts, gifted education programs are suffering reduction or elimination. As this trend continues, an increasing number of gifted children are not receiving sufficient guidance to maximize their full potential through school programs. In addition to continuous advocacy, there is now an unprecedented need for dynamic and innovative approaches for supplementing the education of our world’s most gifted, talented, and creative students. The  unique, targeted, and experienced curriculum of the SIG program provides your students with the ideal educational complement, ensuring that they receive the individual attention they require.
